HYUNDAI MOTOR AMERICA LAUNCHES ASSURANCE CAR CARE EXPRESS SERVICE CENTERS

  • Research shows customers are more satisfied if their dealership performs basic car care maintenance in less than an hour

Fountain Valley, Calif., Feb. 28, 2014 – Speed is being applied to service and maintenance with the launch of the new Hyundai Assurance Car Care Express service center program. Hyundai Assurance Car Care Express will help participating Hyundai dealers decrease the time needed for basic services, such as oil changes and tire rotations, enabling the dealership to handle more customers. No appointment is necessary for a customer to visit a new Car Care Express service center. To prepare for this program participating Hyundai dealers will be dedicating service bays and staff to expedite service.

Car Care Express helps Hyundai dealerships be more competitive by providing customers with quick oil changes, multi-point vehicle inspections, tire rotation, air and cabin filter replacements, wiper blades, battery replacement and other basic services as needed. The goal is to get customers in and out of the service department in less than an hour. In July of 2012, Hyundai Motor America launched a pilot program to introduce the Assurance Car Care Express concept to dealers. There are currently 140 certified Car Care Express dealers in the U.S. and the number of participating dealers is increasing. The marketing tagline for Hyundai Assurance Car Care Express is “Get in, Get out, Get back to your life”.

After the customer arrives and has been greeted a repair order is created. The vehicle is then sent to one of the dedicated service bays where specialized technicians perform a complimentary multi-point inspection, basic oil changes and maintenance in less than an hour. Meanwhile, service managers and technicians running the dealership’s other service bays can focus on more demanding maintenance jobs and repair work. Car Care Express has benefits beyond quick oil changes such as increasing service department efficiency and allowing higher vehicle throughput.

Customers who visit a Car Care Express service center will enjoy a different experience from the typical trip to a dealership service department. With extended service hours and competitive prices, Car Care Express service centers are designed to provide routine vehicle maintenance, with no appointment necessary. Assurance Car Care Express will provide Hyundai customers dealership quality repairs at competitive prices. The program will offer our customers another choice for convenient service.

Hyundai Assurance Car Care Express is the latest addition to broader the Hyundai Assurance program. All Hyundai vehicles sold in the U.S. are covered by the Hyundai Assurance program, which includes the 5-year/60,000-mile fully transferable new vehicle limited warranty, Hyundai’s 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain limited warranty, and five years of complimentary Roadside Assistance. Hyundai Assurance includes Assurance Connected Care that provides owners of Hyundai models equipped with the Hyundai Blue Link telematics system with proactive safety and car care services, complimentary for three years. These services include Automatic Collision Notification, Enhanced Roadside Assistance, Vehicle Diagnostic Alert, Monthly Vehicle Health Report and in-vehicle service scheduling.

Fountain Valley, Calif., Feb. 28, 2014 – Hyundai Motor America today announced a relationship with Shell Oil to recommend its Quaker State® branded motor oils for Hyundai’s dealer network as part of a new lubricants program. No one knows motor oil better than Quaker State and no one changes oil in Hyundai vehicles better than Hyundai dealership technicians. Beginning in March, Hyundai dealers participating in the Hyundai Lubricants Program will provide Quaker State branded motor oils for the vehicles they service. Hyundai also uses Quaker State as the primary supplier of initial motor oil for its vehicles as they roll off the assembly line.
