The four-wheeled stars of Ghostbusters, Back to the Future, Knight Rider and even Mr Bean will all be at the UK’s biggest classic motoring celebration featuring 1,700 cars, held 14-16 November.

As well as well known screen cars, such as the white Volvo P1800 belonging to The Saint and Steve McQueen’s Ford Mustang and the Dodge Charger from Bullitt, there will also be the more obscure such as the orange Adams Probe 16 from A Clockwork Orange and the military vehicles from Dad’s Army. Expect to see a raft of cars driven by the shaken, not stirred Bond…James Bond.

Three cars sure to have fans queuing on the Lancaster Insurance stand in anticipation are all stars of the 1980s, namely the Cadillac Miller Meteor ambulance that became ECTO 1 in Ghostbusters, the DeLorean DMC-12 and the Pontiac Trans Am that transformed in to the Knight Industry’s Two Thousand, or KITT as he was more commonly called.

Around 250 of Britain’s best motoring clubs will pull out all the stops to showcase rare and exciting marques as the show celebrates ‘The Big Screen’ with clubs being encouraged to display classic marques from TV and film as well as those that were launched with a TV or billboard campaign and those cars that have been sold for a big screen ‘ticket’ to consider.

As well as club displays, manufacturers such as Porsche GB, Vauxhall and Jaguar Heritage bring rare cars including Jaguar’s ‘Car Zero’, the new E-type prototype. There’s also celebration displays marking the centenary of Maserati and the 130th anniversary of Rover.

Other features include the Wheeler Dealer Live Stage hosted by the TV motoring show’s presenters Mike Brewer and Edd China with restoration challenges, special guests and exclusive competitions.

As well as the impressive car displays, visitors can also enjoy the Classic Motorbike Show featuring special guests, stunning bike club displays, a Pride of Ownership concours and a Vintage Wall of Death.

The 2014 Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show will be held from 14th to 16th November. For more information on the Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show or Classic Motorbike Show as well as all the ticket prices and booking details, visit www.necclassicmotorshow.com.
