 2007 Ferrari Drivers

Felipe Massa

2006 was a remarkable year for Felipe Massa. Since joining Ferrari as an official driver, Felipe not only collected his first pole position and first race victory at Istanbul Park, but he also became the first Brazilian since the late, great Ayrton Senna to win his home Grand Prix.

In his debut year racing for the team this ferocious young driver finished the season third in the FIA Formula One Drivers' World Championship, making an impressive mark on the sport.

During this time, the Brazilian has worked closely with Shell, promoting the strength of the technical partnership with Ferrari and taking part in Shell events around the world. Shell is delighted to continue working with Felipe as he enters his second season as an official driver with the team.

Born in Săo Paulo in 1981, Felipe began his motorsport career in microcarts at the tender age of nine. A few years later he graduated to Brazil's Chevrolet Class, where he would become champion, before moving to Europe to advance his career. Meteorically, he won the Italian Formula Renault Championships in 2000 and the European Formula 3000 Championship title in 2001, accomplishments which catapulted him to the attention of the Formula One world.

Kimi Raďkkönen

Following the departure of Michael Schumacher, Finland's Kimi Raďkkönen has been welcomed warmly into the fold. The Finn made his first public appearance several days into the New Year, donning the new team kit at Ferrari's annual retreat to the Italian Alps. He finally made his Ferrari track debut at Vallelunga circuit later in the month.

Raďkkönen was born in Finland on October 17th 1979. After a long year accumulating experience with karts, in 1999 he started competing in various Formula championships, winning the Formula Renault Winter Series. The following year he became champion of the British racing series.

In 2000 Raďkkönen worked as a test driver for Sauber Petronas Formula One Team. He debuted with this team as an official driver in the year 2001. From 2002 to 2006 he drove for McLaren Mercedes, achieving second place in the Drivers' World Championship at the end of 2003 and again in 2005, his best results to date.
