Porsche to Build New U.S. Headquarters ATLANTA - May 12, 2011
New headquarters will house nearly all U.S. Porsche colleagues under one roof, including a dramatic customer experience center and test track
Porsche Cars North America (PCNA) today announced
it will build a new headquarters in Atlanta, the city it has called home for thirteen years.
The new complex will be located in the "Aerotropolis Atlanta" development site, near the brand new International Terminal at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. It will be comprised of
modern office facilities for a workforce that will eventually number 400 employees, including a Technical Service and Training Center, as well as a leading-edge Customer Experience Center that will feature a
handling road course to show-off the capabilities of Porsche's industry-leading vehicles. Groundbreaking is planned for this fall with the move-in date scheduled for the second half of 2013.
"The unparalleled nature of the Porsche ownership experience absolutely deserves an equally unique home. That is what we'll create with our new headquarters - a concept completely new to the U.S.
automotive industry, and one that delivers our brand and product experience to our employees, dealers and customers alike," said Detlev von Platen, President and CEO of Porsche Cars North America.
"Our new American headquarters will allow us to finally bring together all our major sales, after sales and financial services capacities, thus making us an even stronger organization. It also sends a
strong message to our dealers and our customers that we believe in the strength of the U.S. market and its future growth," von Platen explained. "At the same time, this decision demonstrates our commitment to the
State of Georgia and the City of Atlanta to remain a vital part of this vibrant region."
The decision to stay in Atlanta was the result of a thorough, more than one-year long search and evaluation process that spanned metropolitan Atlanta and several out-of-state sites. The new
headquarters will not only be home to PCNA, but also to Porsche Financial Services, Inc., and Porsche Business Services, Inc. which are both currently located in Lisle, Illinois. Other Porsche businesses will also
be included, building a solid foundation for further expansion of Porsche's largest market worldwide.
"We welcome the entire Porsche team to Atlanta's newest corporate center, the innovative Aerotropolis complex," said Kasim Reed, the mayor of Atlanta. "Porsche's decision to reinforce its roots and
grow its next-generation U.S. headquarters here is a testament to the vitality and vibrancy of our city and an exciting addition to the many iconic brands that also call Atlanta home. The Porsche crest will be a
perfect welcome sign to greet the hundreds of thousands of visitors and guests that land each day at the world's busiest airport in Atlanta."
"There's no better place to live, work and play than Georgia," stated Nathan Deal, Governor of Georgia. "As a 13-year corporate citizen of our great state, Georgia-based Porsche employees already know
that once you have 'Georgia on Your Mind' it is impossible to let go. Now we look forward to extending our famous Southern hospitality to the entire Porsche team - and to adding an incredible new destination to
Georgia's list of 'must-see' places."
With over 25,000 cars sold in 2010, PCNA finished last year up 33 percent over the previous year. With its new headquarters, a dedicated, passionate employee and dealer body, and a strong line-up of
iconic sports cars, a brand new generation of Cayenne SUVs and the latest addition to the brand, the Panamera Gran Turismo, Porsche is poised for continued success in the United States.

Sensational Porsche World Premiere in Geneva February 24, 2011
Porsche presents first functional, full hybrid car in the world, the 'Semper Vivus', 111 years after
its World Premiere in 1900 -- From the beginning of the 20th century, the name Porsche has been associated with pioneering innovations in automotive engineering. Ferdinand Porsche, the founding father of the
present-day Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, entered unchartered territory in 1900 with the creation of the first fully-functional hybrid car in the world, the 'Semper Vivus' ('always alive').
In a stunning four-year project the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart has recreated the Semper Vivus to its original glory. One-hundred eleven years after Ferdinand Porsche's ground breaking innovation, the
Semper Vivus will commemorate Porsche's lengthy dedication to ground-breaking hybrid technology with an appearance at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show. It will subsequently be on display as part of the Porsche Museum
collection in Stuttgart.
In addition, Porsche has recently announced that a second production hybrid will follow the Cayenne S Hybrid SUV, the Panamera S Hybrid. Deriving its total power output of 380 hp from a three-liter V6
supercharged engine and a 47 hp electric unit, the Panamera S Hybrid's total fuel consumption is 6.8 l/100 km. That equates to CO2 emissions of just 159 g/km, making it the most economical Porsche of all time.

New 911 makes world premiere
New generation of benchmark sports car is lighter, more powerful and efficient
Latest expressions of Porsche Intelligent Performance on display include prototype electric
Boxster E The new Porsche 911 Carrera celebrates its world premiere at the 2011 IAA Frankfurt Motor Show (September 13 – 25) and headlines an impressive range of
models the sports car manufacturer will display in Hall 3.0, Stand A12.
The new 911 Carrera The sports car icon is stepping into the limelight in Frankfurt. True to the 911 tradition, the
distinctive Porsche design language exudes power and elegance. The unmistakable silhouette still catches the eye while incorporating new, exciting contours and precisely designed details.
The familiar
athletic appearance of the 911 is given further dynamism with a 100mm longer wheelbase, reduced height, and up to 20-inch diameter alloy wheels.
Setting the standard in its class, as it has for generations,
the new 911 Carrera and Carrera S raise the performance and efficiency standard to new levels. Fuel consumption and emissions of all versions are up to 16 per cent lower compared with its predecessors.
For
example, the 911 Carrera with the new 350 hp 3.4-litre, flat six, direct injection engine and optional seven speed PDK transmission returns 34.4mpg Combined based on the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC) - 6mpg more
than its predecessor. Also, at 194 g/km CO2, it is the first Porsche sports car to sit below 200 g/km CO2. In the case of the Carrera S, with its 400 hp 3.8-litre, flat six, direct injection engine, economy when
paired with the optional PDK is increased by 14 per cent, or 5 mpg, to 32.4mpg Combined despite 15 hp more power. That equates to CO2 emissions of 205 g/km.
Principle among the innovative steps forwards is
the all-new, lightweight body, featuring intelligent aluminium-steel composite construction. It is responsible for a significant proportion of the vehicle weight reduction of up to 45 kg. New active chassis systems
elevate driving dynamics to an unprecedented level. The new electro-mechanical power steering offers the typical precision and feedback expected of a Porsche, and also helps to economise on fuel. Moreover, the
world's first seven-speed manual transmission is featured as standard. Additional systems and functions such as auto start/stop, thermal management and electrical system recuperation further enhance the efficiency
of the new Carrera.
The new 911 will be in UK Porsche Centres from December 17. The 911 Carrera costs from £71,449 and the Carrera S from £81,242.
Panamera Diesel Also celebrating a world
premiere at the 2011 IAA Frankfurt Motor Show is the Panamera Diesel, the Porsche Gran Turismo which combines impressive efficiency without compromising sporting performance. The Panamera Diesel offers a highly
appealing driving range of more than 745 miles on one 80-litre tank, emits 172 g/km and delivers a Combined fuel economy of 43.5mpg. With the optional lower rolling resistance tyres, efficiency improves
further still, to 167 g/km and 44.8mpg on the Combined cycle.
The new Panamera Diesel is powered by a smooth-running, 3.0-litre V6 developing 250 hp and maximum torque of 550 Nm. Power is handled by an
eight-speed Tiptronic S automatic transmission driving the rear wheels. The Panamera Diesel is priced from £62,134.
911 GT3 RS 4.0 The 911 GT3 RS 4.0, which makes its first appearance in front of an
international public in Frankfurt, brings together in a road car all the attributes that have made the Porsche 911 GT3 a regular winner on the race track. Limited to 600 examples and already sold out, the car
features a 4.0-litre version of the flat six engine, with the largest displacement ever featured in a production 911. Producing 500 hp, equivalent to 125 hp per litre, the 4.0-litre engine is also the most powerful
naturally-aspirated engine. This can propel the 911 GT3 RS 4.0 around the Nürburgring-Nordschleife circuit in 7:27 minutes.
Cayman S Black Edition The Cayman S Black Edition is limited to 500 units
and also celebrates its debut in Frankfurt. The all-black, mid-engine Coupé offers increased performance over the Cayman S, and higher equipment levels. The Cayman S Black Edition is powered by a 3.4-litre flat six
engine with power output increased by 10 hp to 330 hp. The greater power feeds directly into the performance of the two-seater. Acceleration from 0-62 mph is improved by a tenth of a second to 5.1 seconds with the
six-speed manual transmission, and to 5.0 seconds with the optional PDK. The Cayman S Black Edition is priced from £50,420.
Tradition and future of Porsche Intelligent Performance
The world premieres
are accompanied by two vehicles which provide impressive proof of the tradition and future of Porsche Intelligent Performance. The Boxster E and the legendary 'Semper Vivus' ('Always Alive'), the world's first
fully-functional, full-hybrid car.
Boxster E The Boxster E, with one electric motor apiece on front and rear axles, runs on purely electric power with four-wheel drive and is equivalent to a Boxster
S in terms of driving dynamics. Together with two other Boxster Es, in which an electric motor drives only the rear wheels, the prototype is being used to explore the everyday practicality of all-electric vehicles
and how they are used, especially in terms of driving and battery charging.
'Semper Vivus' – 'Always Alive' The faithful reconstruction of the 'Semper Vivus' pays tribute to the visionary invention
of Ferdinand Porsche, who in building it in 1900 created the first ever functional vehicle with a series hybrid drive. The faithful replica, the forward-looking design of which impresses to this day, was the outcome
of a collaboration between Porsche Engineering and Karosseriebau Drescher, a coachbuilding company based in Hinterzarten (Germany).
