THE  MAYBACH 57 S

The newly developed Maybach 57 S is celebrating its world premiere at the 75th Geneva Motor Show. With the new Maybach 57 S – S stands for "Special" – the Maybach brand is offering a car for more sportily minded drivers. The engine technology as well as the exterior and interior design of this high-end saloon have been tailored to the specific requirements of customers who like to take the wheel themselves and who are looking both for performance and comfort in abundance.

DYNAMISM THROUGH AND THROUGH
The Maybach 57 S upholds the brand's high standards both technically and in design terms, at the same time adding its own spirited flair. The bonnet conceals an exceptionally powerful engine. It has a cubic capacity of six litres from which, in concert with biturbocharging and an air-water intercooler, it delivers 450 kW/612 hp. A massive 1000 Nm of torque (electronically limited) is on tap all the way from 2000 to 4000 rpm. The athletic looks of this model are especially apparent when it is seen from the side. The two exclusive paint colours Arabic Black and Nevada Silver, together with the imposing 20-inch spoked wheels lend further emphasis to its already dynamic appearance. The specially shaped rear apron shows the impressive exhaust tailpipes to full advantage. The car's agility and sheer class are also immediately apparent when it is viewed from the rear.

REFRESHINGLY DIFFERENT
The appealing design of the interior gives the Maybach 57 S a deliberately distinctive look. The leather upholstery provides an ambience which is at the same time striking and tasteful. High-quality materials are handcrafted to the usual Maybach standard of perfection – for instance the seats which are edged in a contrasting colour.

STYLISH SELECTION
The special character of the Maybach 57 S can be felt with every gear change. The design of the gearshift unit, which has been derived from motorsport, adds further dynamism and energy to the interior, lending visual emphasis to the car's impressive performance. On the centre console piano lacquer and carbon-fibre elements combine to form a particularly sporty-looking entity.

RELAX IN LUXURY
The newly designed interior offers superb levels of comfort, with modified seats and head restraints in the rear. The rear windscreen and rear side windows are made of tinted glass. A curtain is optionally available for the generously sized rear windscreen, keeping out prying eyes and creating a pleasantly subdued atmosphere even during daytime.

The all-new Maybach 57 S (the S stands for ''Special'') will be celebrating its world premiere at the 75th Geneva Motor Show. By presenting a more powerful and individualised version of the Series 57 saloon, Maybach is responding to discerning customers' desire for even greater engine output and dynamic handling. Developed in cooperation with Mercedes-AMG, the 6.0-litre V12 biturbo engine provides impressive acceleration, powering the Maybach 57 S from zero to 100 km/h in only five seconds. This makes the Maybach 57 S the world's fastest series-production saloon in its segment. In line with the more powerful engine, the Maybach 57 S also comes with an uprated chassis.

The new Maybach's more powerful 12-cylinder engine has six litres of displacement and generates 612 hp, thanks to its biturbo technology and water/charge-air cooling system. Between 2,000 and 4,000 rpm, the engine's torque peaks at an impressive 1,000 Nm (electronically limited), providing sporty drivers with notable reserves of power at all times. By modifying the chassis to give it an uprated suspension, the developers at Maybach have succeeded in simultaneously meeting various requirements in an optimum manner. As a result, the chassis can reliably and skilfully transmit the vehicle's impressive power and torque potential to the road, while retaining the high driving comfort typical of the Maybach brand.

On the exterior, the vehicle's dynamic appearance is highlighted by a number of tasteful visual details. These include a monochrome paint job in a special black or silver colour exclusively available for the 57 S, a modified front with a new grille design, and imposing new 20-inch multi-spoke wheels. At the back, the reworked rear valance and the muffler's two integrated and redesigned tailpipes give visual expression to the car's potential for ultra-high performance. The redesigned interior features high-quality materials and the kind of top-level workmanship expected of Maybach. In addition, the redesigned leather appointments create an eye-catching, tasteful ambience. The interior's unique and extremely exclusive appearance benefits from the ideally coordinated application of piano lacquer and carbon to create a feeling of dynamic elegance that is particularly evident within the driver's field of vision.
