Experts Offer Tips to Conserve Gas
Oil prices are steadily increasing and travel experts indicate there are few signs of this trend easing any time soon. In the U.S., a survey by AAA and the Oil Price Information Service indicates gas prices are averaging $3.51 a gallon.

While the price at the pump is not expected to ease anytime soon, experts at General Motors say there are ways drivers can ease the number of trips to the gas station. Adhering to the recommended speed limits is one way to conserve fuel says experts.

Due to the aerodynamic drag of a car at high speeds, every five miles-per-hour over 60 is equal to an additional 20 cents a gallon. In addition, ensuring a vehicle's tires are properly inflated can save up to 2 percent on fuel consumption. Tips like these can result in significant fuel savings for drivers.
