84TH INTERNATIONAL MOTOR SHOW GENEVA: AN ORGANIZATION SERVING THE VISITOR
The International Motor Show of Geneva already preparing to welcome the public from 6 to March 16 in the halls of Palexpo. Now, the first information about the 2014 edition and its exhibitors are available on the official page www.salon-auto.ch . The site will be continuously updated and completed in the coming weeks. It offers a contest that allows firstly to gain entry and then notes, with a little luck, a car. It also helps to buy the ticket directly online. Last year, between January and March, 1.4 million Internet users visited its pages.
A safe arrival at the Salon
Many special trains will operate to and from Geneva Airport for a trip stress free and unhindered to Salon. Combined tickets (travel and entry to the Salon) are offered by SBB at a discounted rate. The bus line No. 5 TPG take visitors from downtown and the airport directly outside the front door.
The motorist who nevertheless decide to come by car at the Salon will be led by the brigade road of the Geneva Police on one of thirteen parks in the vicinity of Palexpo, where 5,600 seats will be available during the week and some 10,000 during weekends, in conjunction with traffic information on FM 91.2 RTS1. Shuttles will operate between the various parking areas and the main entrance Motor Show. Visitors from France have the opportunity to park in the parking lot of Macumba in St-Julien-en-Genevois (74), which is also connected by a shuttle at Palexpo.

Within the precincts of the event, more than 25 snack bars and 6 restaurants (2,500 places served at the table) visitors can restore. The offer ranges from traditional ham and butter gourmet menu and also offers cuisines. The restaurants serve from 11:00 to 16:00 and snack bars are open continuously during exposure, allowing snacks throughout the day.

According to a survey of 1,034 visitors by an independent institute, they are predominantly male, active, passionate and faithful to the event. The 84th edition of the International Motor Show in Geneva will be held from 6 to 16 March 2014. The organizers have just opened registration for exhibitors.
In 2013, the International Motor Show in Geneva has registered some 690,000 entries. According to a survey, over 24% of those surveyed have motivated their visit with an interest in news, 15% seek information on technologies and advances in the automobile sector and nearly 17% say they are truly passionate about. 7 % of visitors came in to prepare the purchase of their next vehicle they wish for most (77.4%) acquired in the year. Buying criteria are in the order price, aesthetics and comfort.Visiting the Exhibition however self is also an opportunity to exit: 20% of visitors seeking entertainment.Faithful regulars, some 26% have participated in 10 or more editions. Only 25% found the event for the first time. The typical profile of the visitor is a man (86%) between 25 and 54 years (65.5%). A little over half of the visitors are Swiss (55.2%), the other half coming mainly surrounding countries (France 32%, Germany 2.1%, Italy 2.3%, Rest of Europe 6 9%). organizers just opened registration. Exhibitors can now order a free admission file at the Secretariat of the International Motor Show and then register online.
