HYUNDAI SHOWCASES IONIQ FULL LINE-UP AT DETROIT INTERNATIONAL AUTO SHOW

The IONIQ Hybrid, IONIQ Electric, and IONIQ Plug-in Hybrid to be featured

Jan. 9, 2017 – Hyundai Motor Company is showcasing three of its latest eco-focused models: the IONIQ Electric, IONIQ Hybrid and IONIQ Plug-in Hybrid at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS). Elantra Sport, unveiled in the fall of 2016, will also be featured at the Detroit event.

“IONIQ will attract an entirely new group of eco- and efficiency-oriented buyers in the U.S. market,” said Mike O’Brien, vice president of Corporate, Product and Digital Planning, Hyundai Motor America. “With outstanding powertrain flexibility, design, connectivity, and advanced technologies, IONIQ meets the needs of a large and growing group of buyers needing a highly efficient, low-emissions vehicle without compromise to their daily lifestyles.”

The IONIQ is the first and only car in the industry to offer a choice of three electrified powertrain options within a single platform.

Hyundai Motor’s planned vehicle list, including specialty vehicles and feature vehicles, for the NAIAS show is indicated below:

Production ehicles: 2017 Accent, Azera, Elantra, Elantra GT, Santa Fe Sport, Santa Fe, Sonata 2.0 T, Sonata Plug-in Hybrid, Tucson and Veloster Turbo
Specialty Vehicles:  2016 Santa Fe NFL Wrap, 2017 Ioniq Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle, and Ioniq Autonomous Vehicle

This year, Hyundai Motor is bringing one of the most popular sports game, Madden 17, to our exhibit for free consumer play during show hours. Consumers will be able to compete in head-to-head battles with their friends, family, and foes to celebrate Hyundai’s relationship with the NFL.
  Hyundai Racing Gaming Experience
Attendees will be able to test their gaming skills while driving the GT 2025 in the current version of Gran Turismo 6 for Sony PlayStation3.
