Beaulieu’s Simply Classics & Sports Car on Saturday 18th June will celebrate the best-loved sports cars and classic cars on the roads, with a fantastic display in the grounds of the National Motor Museum on Father’s Day weekend.

One of the highlights of the Beaulieu events calendar, Simply Classics & Sports Car promises to please not only motoring fans, but also lovers of everything retro, with new show features for 2016.

Admire a wide variety of pre-1990 classics, and sport cars of all ages in the vibrant display, spanning family saloons, classic commercials, roofless roadsters and more. Show regular the Bournemouth & Poole MG Owners’ Club will also showcase a fantastic selection of members’ cars on its club stand.

Simply Classics & Sports Car appeals to varied motoring tastes and is a great day out for all the family. In tune with the era, Bows & Braces will create a Vintage Village for the show with authentic clothes from the 1920s to the 1980s and nostalgic home decoration including upcycled furniture, jewellery, kitchenware, luggage, records and maps. A Vintage tea tent is not to be missed.

There will be prizes for the best dressed man and woman, family or group. For those who need a little help,Vintage Victory Rollers will offer inspired make-overs in its event salon, with updos and cat eye flicks to make the boys whistle! Get rocking and rolling to live music throughout the show, as vocal quartet Company B perform 1940s-style swing numbers throughout the day that are sure to get you humming along.

Owners of qualifying vehicles are invited to drive into the grounds of the National Motor Museum to park, admire the other cars on display and catch up with other enthusiasts, as well as enjoy all of the features of one of the south’s leading visitor attractions, for the great value participant ticket price of £10 an adult and £5 a child for those displaying their sports car or pre-1990 classic.

Once you have chosen your favourite car of the show, cast your vote in the People’s Choice Award. The owner of the car that receives the most votes from visitors and participants will receive a commemorative Beaulieu trophy and special Autoglym prize, before leading a cavalcade of the most popular cars through the attraction.

Tickets can be bought on arrival at Beaulieu or in advance online at www.beaulieu.co.uk/events or on 01590 612888. Entry into the Beaulieu parkland with your classic or sports car is from 9.30am, when the Brabazon Restaurant will be serving breakfast snacks and hot and cold drinks.

For friends taking part in the show with multiple vehicles, please ensure that you all arrive at the same time if you wish to park together.

Admission includes access to all of the features of the Beaulieu attraction. Don’t miss the National Motor Museum’s new Driving Change display, which explores motoring innovations, technology and safety throughout history and makes motoring predictions for the future. Visit On Screen Cars and the World of Top Gear, take a stroll around the Montagu family home Palace House and grounds and the historic ruins of 13thcentury Beaulieu Abbey.
